Cabin AA (4 berths, private bathroom, with window) for Ch$ 49.000 per person*
Cabin A (4 berths, bathromm outside, no window) for Ch$ 35.000 per person*
*) plus US$ 10 embarking taxes

To make a booking, you can either contact Navimag directly through their web site: www.navimag.com. Or, if you wish, we can handle your reservation, but we have to charge US$20 for this service.

It is the fastest way to get from Puerto Montt to the Aysén Region (save by flying there). Puerto Chacabuco is one hour away from Coyhaique, the region's capital, and it is also the start point for the touristic excursions towards the Laguna San Rafael, which is only a few hours of navigation to the south away.
Itinerary

Leaving Puerto Montt, the navigation continues through the interior sea of the Chiloé archipelago, with calm waters protected by the Isla Grande. With good visibility it is possible to see a chain of high summits and volcanoes in the continent. Entering the Corcovado gulf, which separates the archipelagos of Chiloé and Guaitecas, the sea gets tougher for some hours until reaching the Moraleda channel: again an area protected from the winds and waves. In the second half of the journey, the boat sails through fjords and islands of incomparable beauty, until arriving to Puerto Chacabuco after a 22-hour-journey.

Dates

Departures are usually Wednesday and Saturday from Puerto Montt and Tuesday and Friday from Puerto Chacabuco, but this may vary.

Boats
For the transport of passengers, cargo and vehicles, Navimag has two boats. Eventhough the main boat on this route is the ferry Amadeo I, there are oftn switches with the Edén, specially in the low season.
The ferry Amadeo is mainly built for cargo and has very few cabins for passengers in only one category, with 4 or 6 beths.

The ferry Edén (do not confuse with the other boat Puerto Edén which worked for Navimag until 2011) transports trucks, cargo in general and has room for 114 passengers in 4 categories.
