Cruceros
Australis offers the alternative to sail in a luxury cruiser
through the Magellan Strait and the Beagle Channel, exploring
one of the most beautiful and pristine regions of the Southern
edge of the Americas; reaching Cape Horn, the last piece of
continental ground and meeting point of the Pacific and Atlantic
Oceans. The journey goes through channels, bays and fjords,
disembarking in different points and visiting glaciers between
Punta Arenas in Chile and the Argentinian city of Ushuaia
in Tierra del Fuego. |

From Punta Arenas to Ushuaia the trip lasts 5 days (4 nights).
The journey back to Punta Arenas depends on the ship: with
the M/V Stella Australis it takes 4 days and 3 nights, the
M/V Via Australis takes a different route in 5 days and 4
nights.
From season 2013/14 on there are some dates with a special
round trip Punta Arenas > Ushuaia > Punta Arenas that
takes 8 days (7 nights).
All routes pass through the Cape Horn and include visits to
the glaciers and wildlife sightings.

The
enterprise owns two modern ships
-Via Australis and Stella Australis-, both quite similar,
with a capacity of 136 and 210 passengers. They are provided
with advanced technology in navegation and safety, and high
class facilities. The passengers can enjoy the view from wide
decks, there is an infirmary, store, games hall and a small
library. The activities on board are held in two comfortable
lounges -Yamana and Sky- and in the dining
room Patagonia.
The new ship Stella Australis offers in addition 4 superior
cabins of a bigger size and a gym.

Both
expedition cruisers have large cabins distributed in four
categories, all of them with low beds, panoramic windows,
private bathroom, heating, closet and safety boxes. The difference
in the price lays mainly in the location of the cabins within
the boats.
The new Stella
Australis offers in addition 4 superior cabins with a size
of 20,5 m2 aproximately. |

prices are per person in a double cabin. The price includes
full board, open bar and all activities and excursions in
the program.
Important: There is an extra charge of US$
30 for embarking taxes and national park entrance fee. |
