PUERTO NATALES -> SOUTH PATAGONIAN ICEFIELD -> PUERTO MONTT

The "Nomads of Patagonia Route" is a special cruise made by Skorpios to move the ship from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt. The only sailing this sesaon is on April 15th, 2020. On this cruise you will visit the South Patagonian Icefield with the glaciers Amalia, El Brujo and Pío XI, sailing through fjords and channels, getting to know the remote fishing villages Puerto Eden and Caleta Tortel, the city of Castro on Chiloé Island and enjoy the hotsprings at Termas de Quitralco.

In October 2020 will take place the next trip in the opposite direction, from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, to bring back the ship to the South again. The exact date will be confirmed some months before the departure. If you are interested in this trip (or in the next one northwards in April 2021), we can put you on a list and will contact you when the definitive dates are known.

Itinerary

WEDNESDAY APRIL 15, 2020
At 12:00, set sail from Puerto Natales. Navigation through Angostura Kirke. During the sunset, we will navigate Morla Vicuña pass, Union channel, Collingwood, Sarmiento and Peel channels.

THURSDAY APRIL 16, 2020
At 08:30, arrival to Amalia Glacier. A panoramic view can be contemplated from the ship. Then, disembarkation for an excursion. At 10:30, set sail to El Brujo Glacier. At 12:30, arrival to El Brujo Glacier. In this place, tourists can disembark for an excursion to this glacier. Then, at 15:00, set sail to Pío XI Glacier. During the afternoon and night, the ship will navigate through Peel estuary, Pitt, Tres Cerros, Concepcion, Wide and Icy channels, and Eyre Fjord.

FRIDAY APRIL 17, 2020
At 08:00, arrival to Pío XI Glacier. The M/V will navigate in front of this iceberg, which is the largest glacier of South America. At 11:00, set sail from Pio XI Glacier for sailing through Eyre Fjord, Grappler Channel, and Paso del Indio (which is similar a channel). At 15:30, Arrival to Puerto Eden. Passengers can disembark and visit the small fishing village located in the Wellington Island, the origin of Kawescar or Alacalufes ethnic groups. At 17:30, set sail to the North to navigate through Angostura Inglesa, Messier Channel towards Caleta Tortel.

SATURDAY APRIL 18, 2020
At 09:00, arrival to Caleta Tortel. In this place, which has 7 kilometers of wooden walkways, passengers can disembark and contemplate the landscape. At 12:00, set sail to Quitralco thermal springs. At 17:00, we will start the navigation through the Penas Gulf and the Pacific Ocean.

SUNDAY APRIL 19, 2020
At 08:00, end of oceanic navigation, and beginning of the navigation through Anna Pink bay. At midnight, arrival at Quitralco thermal springs.

MONDAY APRIL 20, 2020
At 08:00, the ship is berthed in Quitralco pier. In this place, passengers can take thermal baths. After that, excursions on boats through inside waters of the fjord. Then, a Patagonian barbecue can be tasted. At 17:00, set sail to Dalcahue city on Chiloe.

TUESDAY APRIL 21, 2020
At 15:00, arrival to Dalcahue city. Here, tourists can disembark and visit the place. Then, at 20:00, set sail from Dalcahue, and at 21:00, farewell dinner.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 22, 2020
At 08:00, arrival to Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Montt. Breakfast, and finally disembark. End of the cruise

Note: Schedules, activities, excursions, and routes, may change depending on weather conditions or force majeure, according to the captain estimation.

Dates
The only scheduled sailing this season is on April 15th, 2020.
In October 2020 will take place the inverse trip Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales, and in april 2021 again from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt (Exact dates to be confirmed - if you are interested to participate, you can already contact us to be put on a list)
Boat

This route is made by the vessel Skorpios III which has a top capacity of 110 passengers. It has wide decks, bars, lounges and dining rooms where you can share a nice time with other fellow travelers. It has a sincronized translation for the talks, a professional digital recording system and the broadcast of videos through internal channels.

Cabins
It has 49 fully equiped cabins with low beds, luxury and wide bathrooms, fridge, music, internal phone, TV and safety boxes. The cabins are located in five different decks, with prices depending in the kind of accommodation and where they are within the boat. All cabins have windows, but the ones in the Atenas deck.

Rates in US-Dollars
The prices are per person in a double cabin. The price includes full board, open bar during the meals and all the excursions in the program.
Note: There is an extra harbour embarking tax of US$ 35.
